While actually VIEWING this page may make you slightly nuts, it’s a great resource when you need a nice little “loading” or “processing” animation.
ezWidget – rapid plugin deployment

This is a good idea. It makes it very simple to make a widget that will work with the standard widgety services. Doesn’t look like it supports a lot of bells and whistles, but the learning curve is surprisingly gentle.
