I would like to be more intentional about my typography.
Many years ago I made a font from my handwriting. It took a long time and a lot of effort. This doesn’t. 🙂

A nice collection of type design, though it could use a little more commentary.
A nice, simple technique to style blockquotes. This would also work with other elements, at least in browsers that support pseudo-elements.
I like this free font, and I really like that it’s free even for commercial use (because I’d like to use it on designs for business blogs). The font itself is serif, more formal than some, very clean with good detailing.
I’ve been using the Headline Images plugin to do this in WordPress, but it’s good to have a CMS-independent solution.
This is a method for replacing text with Flash movies of pretty versions of that text. It’s noteworthy because it’s accessible and degradable.
An excellent list of great professional fonts. Oh, yeah, and they’re free. Maybe I don’t need a font budget!
