Ben isn’t much of a morning person, so we do smoothies on the way to school. I blend it up and then pour it into a Mason jar with one of these awesome lids.
He likes his smoothie heavy on the mango, and I add in almonds for some healthy fat. Don’t be weirded out by the egg white texture when you pour it in—it blends up smoothly and adds a bunch of protein.
Ben's Mango-Strawberry Smoothie
- 120 grams frozen mango chunks
- 35 grams frozen strawberries
- 10 grams blanched almonds
- 14 grams honey
- 150 grams pasteurized egg whites
- 71 grams cold water
Throw everything into a high-powered blender and work your way up to high speed. Blend away until it's smooth.
